The Couple
Bride: Emily Ackerman
Groom: Brian Saltzberg
The Proposal
Brian’s proposal reflected everything Emily loves—sun, sand, and the effortless beauty of Mexico. On March 5, 2023, during a getaway to Tulum, Brian led Emily to a secluded spot on the beach where the turquoise waves stretched endlessly in front of them.
Just as the sun dipped low, casting that signature golden glow, he asked the question that changed everything. With the rhythm of the ocean behind them and the warm sand beneath their feet, it was the perfect start to the next chapter of their lives.

Why Chablé Maroma Riviera Maya?
Emily and Brian weren’t just looking for a beautiful venue—they wanted an escape. Somewhere their closest friends and family could disconnect from the outside world and be fully present in the moment. Chablé Maroma, with its white-sand beaches, lush tropical landscapes, and sleek modern design, delivered everything they were looking for.
The combination of untouched nature, high-end luxury, and total privacy made it the ideal choice. Every space felt thoughtfully designed. This allowed them to blend their love for bold color, striking textures, and effortless elegance into the setting.

Luxe Bride Experience Moment
“There was a moment right before we walked into the reception when we stopped and just took it all in—the warm glow of candlelight, the vibrant florals spilling over the tables, the sound of laughter and music blending with the ocean breeze. It was exactly how we envisioned it: colorful, stylish, and completely us.”

The Design & Decor: A Bold, Artistic Take on Riviera Maya Romance
When Emily and Brian connected with Carena Trampe of Amy Abbott Events, they knew instantly she was the perfect match for their design-forward vision. With her expertise, they didn’t just plan a wedding—they built an aesthetic masterpiece. Every design decision felt intentional, from the choice of textiles to the way the florals interacted with the surrounding architecture.
Their palette pulled inspiration from Chablé Maroma’s natural vibrance—rich corals, electric pinks, deep greens, and golden accents. Instead of just filling the space with flowers, Carena’s team created a layered visual experience. Color, light, and organic textures worked together to bring the setting to life.
The tablescapes were designed with artful precision. Handcrafted wooden tables draped with bold linens stacked with layers of color. The florals that topped the tablescapes felt as if they were growing right out of the tables themselves.

The Ceremony: A Slice of Paradise
Emily and Brian exchanged vows beneath a lush floral arch. The structure was busting with tropical blooms in fiery reds, deep oranges, and bold pinks. The contrast against the deep green jungle backdrop made the entire setup feel like it was part of the landscape rather than simply placed within it.
The sounds of gentle ocean waves mixed with soft live music as guests took their seats. The aisle was lined with scattered petals and low floral arrangements. This detail ensuring that every perspective was a visual feast of color and nature.

The Reception: Chic, High-Energy, & Completely Unforgettable
As the sun set over Chablé Maroma in Riviera Maya, the reception transformed into a glowing, candlelit dinner that blended elegance with effortless energy. Long wooden tables stretched beneath strands of twinkling lights. The table surfaces were covered in cascading florals, hundreds of flickering candles, and bold statement pieces.
Instead of a single focal point, the design embraced layering. With florals climbing over tables, soft lighting that illuminated every detail, and textures that felt as rich as they looked. The dance floor, set beneath an open-air canopy, was designed to feel natural yet refined, allowing the energy of the night to unfold organically.

The Music & The Energy
If there’s one thing this wedding had, it was vibe. OntheOne Tulum set the tone from the start, transitioning from soulful acoustic melodies during cocktail hour to deep house beats and Latin-inspired hits that kept the dance floor packed.
DJ Salsa con V knew exactly how to read the room, keeping the energy high and the transitions seamless. From reggaeton to classic hip-hop throwbacks, the night played out like a setlist curated for the ultimate night out.

Escort Cards & Thoughtful Touches
Every detail was part of the bigger design picture. The escort cards were displayed in a sleek, color-coordinated layout that complemented the custom menus and tablescape. It wasn’t just about finding a seat—it was about creating a design moment that felt as stylish as it was functional.
Final Thoughts
Emily and Brian’s wedding was the kind of event people will be talking about for years. The mix of electric colors, high-end design, and infectious energy made it feel effortlessly stylish and wildly fun. It wasn’t just a wedding—it was an experience that reflected their personality and love for bold, statement-making moments.

From Carena Trampe, Amy Abbott Events:
“Emily and Brian knew exactly what they wanted—an event that reflected their style, their energy, and their love of color. Seeing their vision come to life at Chablé Maroma, surrounded by the richness of Riviera Maya, was something I won’t forget. Their wedding was a masterclass in blending artistic design with high-energy celebration, and I couldn’t have imagined a better setting for it.”
