The Wedding at Four Seasons Cabo del Sol
Lindsey and Alex celebrated their November wedding at the Four Seasons Cabo del Sol in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. With 170 of their closest friends and family in attendance, the couple hosted an intentionally curated destination celebration, exchanging vows along the coastline before gathering for an evening of intimate celebration. The happy couple chose El Huerto Farm to Table for their rehearsal dinner; the perfect place for a relaxed gathering of friends and family.

How They Met
Lindsey and Alex met through a serendipitous encounter while dining at a restaurant on the island of Capri, Italy. Lindsey happened to cross paths with their mutual friend, Jimmy. Convinced he knew the perfect match for her, Jimmy told Lindsey about Alex. Upon returning home, Jimmy and his wife, Hilary, orchestrated the introduction that would ultimately bring the couple together.
The Proposal
For the proposal, Alex planned a sentimental return to Lindsey’s former neighborhood in New York City’s West Village. During a walk through the streets that felt so familiar to them, they arrived outside Lindsey’s former apartment, a location that held special significance from some of their earliest memories together. Alex got down on one knee and asked Lindsey to marry him.
Unbeknownst to Lindsey, Alex had arranged for their closest friends and family to be discreetly positioned along nearby street corners, allowing them to witness the romantic moment. Following the proposal, the celebration continued at the New York City bar where the couple had shared their first date, bringing their story full circle.

The Vision & Venue
Lindsey had always envisioned a wedding that balanced classic, sophisticated design with a celebration that their guests never wanted to leave. While an elegant aesthetic was important, her greatest priority was curating an extraordinary guest experience, one that would leave their friends and family with cherished memories of an exceptional weekend in Cabo.
After exploring an extensive selection of Cabo’s most beautiful wedding properties, Lindsey and Alex discovered their ideal setting at the newly opened Four Seasons Cabo del Sol. Having stayed at the resort during their venue search, the couple experienced its hospitality and distinctive coastal aesthetic firsthand. The property offered the ideal setting for the elegant yet vibrant destination celebration they had envisioned.

The Design
Inspired by their November wedding date and the coastal surroundings of Cabo, Lindsey and Alex envisioned an autumnal color palette.
The resulting aesthetic was a perfect balance of seasonal warmth and delicate, soft design details, complemented by the natural beauty of the Baja coastline. A black-tie dress code introduced an additional layer of formality, while the overall atmosphere remained effortlessly chic and inviting.

The Ceremony
The couple exchanged vows directly on the sand in front of the Four Seasons, with the Baja coastline providing a picturesque backdrop.
Rather than a traditional ceremony configuration, guest seating was thoughtfully arranged in a half-moon formation, with alternating rows of chairs and benches creating an intimate setting for the 170 guests in attendance.
Florals were intentionally limited, allowing the coastal surroundings to remain prominent. Concentrated at the front of the ceremony, organic, free-flowing arrangements in warm terracotta and delicate blush wove in softness and dimension.

The Reception
The evening’s festivities commenced with a cocktail hour at the resort’s Soro bar and adjacent cactus garden. With a guest list exceeding the capacity of the bar alone, the celebration was thoughtfully distributed between the two spaces, creating a seamless atmosphere.
As guests arrived, they were welcomed with drinks and a live saxophonist, all set against the golden backdrop of the sun glistening on the water.
Following cocktail hour, guests were transported by shuttle to the clubhouse for the reception dinner. Individual tequila-filled shot glasses greeted them upon arrival, each marked with the guest’s assigned table number.
Long dining tables framed the central dance floor, adorned with glass hurricanes and freeform floral arrangements in a rich palette of rose, terracotta, yellow, and white. Suspended floral baskets above the bar and dance floor added dimension to the reception design, complementing the layered tablescapes and warm candlelight.

Fashion & Personal Touches
The bridal party’s attire complemented the wedding’s autumn palette, with bridesmaids wearing floor-length gowns in shades of terracotta, blush, and brown. The maid of honor wore a patterned Missoni gown, the only printed ensemble among the bridesmaids, weaving together the full spectrum of the wedding’s colors.
Lindsey also incorporated two cherished family heirlooms into the celebration. She sewed her great-grandmother’s 100-year-old blue bow into the seam of her wedding gown as her something blue, and brought out her great-grandmother’s toasting goblet, a treasured piece used at family weddings for generations, for the couple’s toast. Both details honored longstanding family traditions while adding a sentimental element to the occasion.

The Stationery
Stationery was an important aspect of the entire wedding for Lindsey and Alex. They sought a designer capable of translating their vision into an invitation suite that felt timeless and set the tone for the entire weekend.
After interviewing approximately ten designers, they selected Charleston-based Laura Adison, whose collaborative approach and creative sensibility made the design process stress-free.
Laura brought their vision to life through hand-painted illustrations and thoughtful personal details, including koalas, the couple’s favorite animal, and a custom hand-drawn map of the Four Seasons property.
The creative vision was carried into the wedding-night stationery, where beautifully executed, two-fold menus featured additional hand-painted elements. The cohesive collection was exactly what Lindsey & Alex hoped for.

Music & Moments
Music played an integral role in shaping the atmosphere of Lindsey and Alex’s celebration, with a carefully curated progression of meaningful songs and high-energy entertainment throughout the evening.
The couple recessed to “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole, and their first dance was to “Latch”.
A hybrid band, with live singers and musicians plus a DJ, meant the music never stopped, delivering three straight hours of dancing. After the first dance, everyone joined the couple on the dance floor for three songs before sitting down for the first course. A perfect way to keep everyone’s energy up all night. After dinner, the dancing lasted until the after-party, with saxophone moments sprinkled throughout the night.
Toward the end of the evening, guests were handed pink sunglasses as Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” came on. The groomsmen lifted the bride, the mother of the bride, and the maid of honor up on chairs while everyone danced around them, and cold sparks erupted around the dance floor..
It was a fitting culmination to an evening defined by timeless design, meaningful traditions, and the ideal celebratory atmosphere Lindsey and Alex had envisioned from the very beginning.
